Most of my paintings begin with a fusion of water & oil based liquids such as wood stains, shellac, gloss and acrylic paints.  As these materials battle to unite, many changes occur on the canvas, creating a kaleidoscope of colour, shape and textures.  Exhausted from this fight, an alliance is eventually accomplished leaving finished pieces that range from “the obvious” to “abstraction”.
